Use this polyurethane casting resin for home replacement, refurbishment and repair of vibration dampers.
- Refurbishment of bushings: If only the rubber part has been damaged, and a carrier metal sleeve still can be used, it is normally enough to cast the polyurethane resin into and that’s it. Of course, you must wait until the full hardening, typically some days. The required quantity of polyurethane resin can be calculated as follows: volume: H * (D2-d2) * 3.14 / 4. This has to be converted to mass. The gravity of our resin is about 1.2 g/cm3. So the needed material: volume * 1.2. Look at the meaning of the Letters in one of the product images.
- It is different if you want to cast the vibration-damping rubber separately. Then you'll even need a silicone mould. However, this can easily be prepared and cast many polyurethane bushings.
The casting resin is available in three different hardnesses: 74 Shore A, 80 Shore A, and 90 Shore A.
You can buy the basic set (156 grams the 2 components together) or a bigger pack (3 x 156 grams, 468 grams) with a 10% discount).
Each Shore "A" hardness has a different isocyanate to the polyol mixing ratio.
